What is
Crop insurance?

We are appointed by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) to assist the risk management needs of American farmers and ranchers. We will provide the support and guidance to producers, helping them expand their farming operations and mitigate the risk of crop losses due to natural disasters and revenue losses due to declines in commodity prices.

What does it cover?

Products offered within the crop insurance program include:

MPCI—Multi Peril Crop Insurance

WFRP—Whole Farm Revenue Protection

Crop Hail

PRF—Pasture, Rangeland and Forage

LRP—Livestock Risk Protection

Revenue Protection

What's at stake if I don't have it?

Purchasing crop insurance will help provide protection against the following perils:

  • Adverse weather conditions, including natural perils such as hail, frost, freeze, wind, drought, and excess precipitation
  • Earthquake
  • Failure of the irrigation water supply, if caused by an insured peril during the insurance period
  • Losses due to crop fires
  • Insects and natural plant diseases
  • Wildlife destruction
  • Volcanic eruptions
